The Oxford colleges offers Reach Oxford Scholarships also known as Oxford Student Scholarships to students from developing countries who cannot study for a degree in their own countries because for some political or financial reasons, or because equivalent educational facilities do not exist in their countries.
Students who wants to be considered for a Reach Oxford Scholarship must first apply for admission to the University of Oxford before they can apply. Any candidates who hasn't been offered place or admitted into the university will not be considered any scholarship applications. The University is not responsible for the content of external sites advertising the scheme and would encourage applicants to read the following details to check their eligibility. This scholarship is only open for undergraduate student and selected few of 2-3 per year from developing countries and candidate can only study subjects in the course listin except medicine.
Benefit for Reach Oxford Undergraduate scholarship
The Reach Oxford scholarship only covers 2-3 awards per year for the Tuition fees, a grant for living costs and one return air fare per year, and this only last for 3 or 4 years depending on the course length.
Eligibility criteria for Oxford Undergraduate scholarship
- Candidates must have been offered a place in the Oxford university with the highest academic ability.
- Candidates must be in Financial need and social commitment to be applicable.
- Candidate should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence following their studies.
- Candidates who has not studied at undergraduate level in any university will be must Prioritised.
Application process for Oxford Undergraduate scholarship
To be considered for the Reach Oxford scholarship, you must have made an application to the University through UCAS by 15 October 2024 and been successful in gaining a place. If you are offered a place at the University of Oxford for an undergraduate course for 2025 entry.
If you are offered a place at the University of Oxford for an undergraduate course for 2025 entry, you should read the guidance notes, review the application questions and complete the Undergraduate scholarships application online form by 12 noon (UK time) on 12 February 2025. Applications for these scholarships will open on 15 January 2025.
For 2025 entry applicants who apply by the 12 February 2025 scholarship deadline, the selection process will be undertaken in March 2025. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application in April 2025.

Scholars will be expected to write an annual report about their academic and social activities, and achievements at the University.
Receipt of the award in subsequent years is subject to satisfactory academic progress.
Applicants should be aware that competition for the scheme is very high and the University does not have additional funding for those candidates who are not offered a scholarship.
If you hold an offer for deferred entry for an undergraduate course at Oxford, and you’d like to apply for a scholarship, please apply for the scholarship in January of the year you will start your Oxford course (e.g. in January 2025 if you hold an offer to start in October 2025). We can only consider applications for undergraduate scholarships once.
If you are applying for Oxford’s Astrophoria Foundation Year Programme and you’d like to apply for this scholarship to support your undergraduate degree course (after the completion of your Foundation Year), please apply for the scholarship in January of the year you will start your undergraduate degree course (e.g. in January 2026 if you intend to progress in October 2026). We will contact all students when enrolled on their Foundation Year to confirm for which scholarships they can apply for their undergraduate course. We can only consider applications for undergraduate scholarships once.
