UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

 

The University of Florida Graduate Scholarship is annually offered to international students who are willing to pursue graduate studies in the United States of America but who does not have the financial capability to further their academic career.



The University of Florida Scholarship offers fully funded study opportunity that covers the costs of tuition, provides $25,000 annual living stipends, and health insurance.

The Department of Psychology at the University of Florida offers this scholarship annually to students pursuing PhD programme. With over 350 applications received every year, the department selects between the range of 15 to 25 new students from the programme for the incoming class.


The department’s admissions process is centered within these areas of specialization; 

  • behavior analysis
  • behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, counseling 
  • developmental
  • social.


Eligibility Requirements ;

  • Applicant must have an average GPA of 3.0 out of 5, while those that have below 3.0 GPA will be considered only on special circumstances(handicap.
  • Accepted Candidates must have Research experience.
  • Relevant volunteer/work experience.
  • Candidate should provide Letters of recommendation from religious or academic personal 
  • match between student and faculty research interests.
  • Accepted applicant must study or want to study statistics or one of the course in each of the following areas of Psychology:
  • Biological bases (physio, sensory, comparative)
  • Developmental Changes (child/adolescent, lifespan)
  • Learning and Cognition (behavioral analysis, cognitive processes)
  • Sociocultural/Individual differences (social, personality, abnormal)


Benefits of university of Florida graduate scholarship;

  • All first-year students are offered 5 years of funding from the scholarship program for all students making good progress in the program.
  • Assistantships are awarded based on actual or potential teaching ability, research and technology skills, or other special expertise.
  • Graduate teaching and research assistants typically have their in-state and out-of-state tuition costs waived.
  • The stipend is $25,000(twenty five thousand dollars) for a 12-month appointment plus a tuition waiver for each of 4 years.

To ensure that your application is given full consideration, please be sure to indicate Fall as the semester for which you are applying and be sure all application materials are received by the Graduate School by December 1st. Applications received after December 1st will be considered late and may not be reviewed.
