 Karsh International Scholars comprise an intellectually and civically engaged cohort of international students who promote interdisciplinary inquiry, academic research, and scholarship in the service of society. International applicants must have demonstrated financial need to be eligible for this scholarship.  Our current group of scholars includes students from Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, England, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Iran, Kenya, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, South Korea, Tunisia, Vietnam, Wales, and Zimbabwe. 

 The Karsh International Scholarship is a fantastic scholarship opportunity that covers tuition fee, accommodation, board, and even funding for research and internships. This scholarship recognizes international students who are intellectually curious, civically engaged, and passionate about making a positive impact in society.

Eligibility requirements for Karsh international scholarship:

• Applicant must be an international student (non-US citizen).
• Applicant must be in help or need of demonstrate financial need
• Applicant need to apply to Duke University and request financial aid

NOTE: There is no separate application for the scholarship, and students with dual US citizenship or a previous bachelor's degree are not eligible for the scholarship.

The application process involves you submitting your application to Duke University and completing financial aid forms online. The deadlines for Fall 2025 are expected to be in early November 2024 (Early Decision) and early January 2025 (Regular Decision).

1. Can a applicant who is a citizen of any country outside the U.S. be considered for this scholarship?

2. Can a applicant who has dual U.S./other country citizenship be considered for this scholarship?

No.
